castawayI've been pushing to make this entry as well, but I have SO many pictures that I'll have to make a separate one for the little school excursion. Just for pictures of that. So, what have I been up to...mainly going to class and walking around Shinjuku. We'd be going out almost every day, but these past few days--since real classes have started--I've just come back home to eat lunch and take a nap. It's nice being able to just chill, seriously.
So the most exciting non-school related thing that's happened. I think it was last Friday, but my dormmate Jenny and I ended up going out to a bar called St. James that we're kind of regulars at now. Two guys from school came with us, and we ended up having some drinks. I had garlic deliciousness (aka Garlic Bread, my one true love) and a Rum and Coke. Then, since one of the guys was hungry, we ended up going out to a convayer belt sushi restaurant--which was also DELICIOUS. One of the guys had to leave after that...
...but he should have stayed because we, on a whim, when to Karaoke. We were just standing outside a building trying to read the sign and one of the workers came out. (This is all in Japanese, mind you). He basically talked us into it with the 1 hour unlimited drinks special. It cost us about $47 for three people, but omg it was worth it.
We sang a lot of bad 80s music since it was in English, though I did attempt some Japanese songs I'd never heard before. Bad bad, but fun. And unlimited drinks. They were tasty!
But don't worry, we weren't drunk and go home just fine ;)
